UX & UI
My first UX/UI assignment was in 1989: A digital comic book delivered via a floppy disc. How do readers proceed through a conversation? How do they make choices? (I revisited those questions many years later at Telltale.)
User Experience is something I've focused on as a creative director at an animation studio delivering online content, as an information architect for NASA, as an art director at online advertising agencies (apologies for being one of the early inventors of drop-down adverts. If I'd known how ubiquitous they'd become...), and 25+ years in game delivery and design.
I've enjoyed being a guiding hand. My work is the backbone of interactivity, funneling and focusing objectives (either purchasing products or pummeling opponents). My chief concern: make sure the funnels are targeted and true. They need to be intuitive and rewarding. It's the glue that makes it all worthwhile and fun.
(Please note: many more examples of UX/UI appear in the design section.)
