4 Steps to Life, Liberty, & the Pursuit of Happiness

Yeah, 4 steps sullies the clean rule-of-three elegance of the Declaration. Let's assume that one of the four stalls in a committee or cannot overcome the special interests of the Bigs: Pharma and Oil. 3/4 would be an achievement. Shucks, half would go a long way in improving lives. Frankly, passing just one (any one of the four) revitalizes the Country.

These are not empty popular promises. They're perfectly doable. We'd need proper enforcement of Eisenhower Era taxation, but none are even as bold as, say, Teddy Roosevelt's Bull Moose platform. We're gonna need all four, eventually. Best get there sooner rather than later. I'll propose 'em, first, in roughly bumper-sticker format since that is a preposterous, challenging method of showcasing ideas. Also, I love stickers.

Bold headline. Short detail. QR & easy URL. Currently, those temporary codes take you here (not democrats.org). That page would feature deeper explanations of the program and math needed to implement the proposed policy. The detail is not there yet, but trust me: it's all cheaper than endless wealthy tax cuts and Middle East wars (which wouldn't be necessary given Fig. 2 below. Batteries, balcony solar... nothing is as hard as Big Oil would have you believe).

Naturally, we'd format for socials, too. There's a temptation to add stock photography or short clips of smiling people. Eyeball attraction, I know. But we're trained to gloss over that sort of editorializing and salesmanship. In an era of slop, I'd prefer to abstract and minimize to Rothko swaths of color + an easy read for a simple sell.
